For new RV buyers
New RV Pre-Delivery Inspection
New RVs are assembled quickly, and they can leave the factory with defects. A pre-delivery inspection finds them before you take delivery, while the dealer still has the RV and a reason to fix them. For buyers at dealers across Fort Worth and DFW.

The difference
What's different about this inspection
There's no wear to look for on a new RV. Instead, Keith looks for assembly problems: missing sealant, loose plumbing fittings, wiring that isn't secured, appliances that weren't fully connected and slides out of adjustment.
Timing matters. Schedule the inspection before you sign the final delivery paperwork, so the findings go on the dealer's repair list instead of becoming warranty claims you chase later.

Common findings
Problems Keith often finds
01
Missing or incomplete sealant
Gaps at roof penetrations, windows and trim that will leak the first time it rains.
02
Loose plumbing fittings
Drips under sinks and at the water heater that show up once the system is pressurized.
03
Electrical miswiring
Reversed polarity, open grounds, GFCI outlets that don't trip and loose connections behind panels.
04
Appliance installation issues
Refrigerators, furnaces and water heaters that weren't fully connected or don't run on every power source.
05
Slide adjustment
Slides that are out of square, rub their seals or don't close tight.
06
Tire pressure and age
Incorrect pressures, and tires that sat long enough at the factory or on the lot to be older than you'd expect.
Deliverables
What you get
How it works
Tell Keith the delivery date and the dealer. He schedules the inspection after the dealer's own prep and before your final paperwork, then sends the report the same day.
Four steps
How an inspection works
Step 1
Call or text with the details
Send the year, make and model, where the RV is parked and when you need it done. Keith replies with a quote based on the RV's type, size and location.
Step 2
Keith arranges access
Keith confirms a time with you and with whoever controls the RV: the dealer, the seller or the storage facility. You don't need to be there.
Step 3
The inspection
Keith goes through the RV system by system, operating what can be operated and photographing what he finds. Most inspections take a few hours.
Step 4
Same-day report
You receive the written report, with photos and video of the findings, the same day. Keith is available afterward to go through any finding with you.

Installation, seal and workmanship problems often don't show up during a dealer walkthrough. An independent inspection gives you a clear picture of the RV before you complete the purchase and take delivery.
After the dealer has finished their own prep and before you sign the final delivery paperwork. Give the dealer the date so the RV is set up with power, water and propane.
It covers many of them, but warranty work means appointments, waiting on parts and time without your RV. Defects found before delivery go on the dealer's list while they still have the RV.
Yes. A trailer has fewer systems than a motorhome, but the same roof, seals, plumbing, electrical and running gear, and the same chance of assembly defects.
